Was WTC-1 a Controlled Demolition?
I think we can all agree, at first glance, it certainly looked like a controlled demolition.
Many people have pointed to the plumes of black smoke popping out of the side of the tower. Many have claimed that these are squibs; explosives used in controlled demolitions.
Let’s take a moment to view a short clip from Loose Change, one of the most prominent 9/11 videos out there. This clip explains the “squib theory” in greater detail:
However, this is a bit deceptive. For example, behold a confirmed controlled demolition:
As you can see for yourself, in a controlled demolition, the squibs are visible before the collapse begins. In other words, even if tower one was a controlled demolition, even if these plumes of black smoke represent planted explosives, they are firing too late to be effective.
Remember: I’m not trying to take sides here, I’m trying to find the TRUTH, as in the stated goal of the “9/11 Truth” movement.
This doesn’t disprove that 9/11 was an inside job, but it doesn’t serve as evidence for a controlled demolition either. It is a red herring. Most likely, the weight of collapsing materials are forcing debris out of certain windows due to a discrepancy in air pressure. Don’t forget: these buildings were over 1,300 feet tall, and in order to heat and cool (and provide oxygen to) the higher floors, the entire building was pressurized, just like the Sears Tower in Chicago.
Is it possible that bombs were planted in the building before it collapsed? Yes.
Do we have any video evidence of explosives going off before the collapse begins? No.
Feel free to disagree in the comments, but I’m calling “bullshit” on this particular theory.
