http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6931812.stm I shouldn’t even have to comment on this one. If I were in the Libyan, Saudi or Iranian leadership I’d set up a Holocaust Survivor’s Charity Fund. Maybe the Iranians wouldn’t participate, after all they held a Holocaust denial conference.
You know many justify the existence of the State of Israel as being a refuge for survivors. Who will build a refuge for mistreated Israelis? I guess there is always Brooklyn, New Jersey and Miami. I do find it surprising that many of these folks don’t have money. You hear many stories about lawsuits against the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria with big payouts. Are their Grandchildren swindling them with legal fees while driving off in BMWs & MERCEDES?
All I know is that the Israeli Government has a track record of being cheap. Normally, I wouldn’t mind this in a Government, but after all Israel was founded by Socialist. It was no Tax Revolt like in 1776 America. Not to mention Israel does receive lots of money from abroad. Good or bad the money is there. Heck in the 1980’s Israel had TRIPLE digit inflation, they just printed up Shekels left and right.
