This Affects Us ALL

Good news for America’s elderly: police brutality is no longer limited to rabble-rousing college students.

Impotent police officer beats unarmed elderly man, keeps job

As with the infamous “Don’t tase me, bro” incident, David Snyder was engaged in direct political speech at the time of his assault and battery.

Please pay attention to the following:

The 1st-Amendment, and “freedom of speech”, was not drafted into our Bill of Rights to protect “South Park” and “Family Guy”- it was drafted to ensure that ANY citizen of the United States of America could speak freely; specifically, to their elected officials.

Let’s recap: man attends a town hall meeting to address grievances he holds with his local government. He speaks rudely, using profanity, and is asked to leave. He complies, and peacefully heads towards the door. Then, without provocation, a fat and bald psudeo-Nazi shoves him onto the ground, and proceeds to beat him unconscious.

Are you scared yet?

Minorities? check.

Students? check.

Women? check.

Children? check.

Elderly? check.

Riddle me this: who among us is safe?

He turned and said something nasty to the cop. That was stupid. I know I’m being shallow, but it wasn’t very wise because the cop obviously wasn’t the best specimen of a citizen defender, an overweight police officer says a lot about the person wearing the badge. I would expect him to react violently when provoked in such a way. Not that that excuses him. And then there was the remark by one of the bystanders, “Hit him for my dad.”

All true.

Does this justify the attack?

I say: hell no.
