In a recent post I said that David Snyder was addressing city council when assaulted by the police. David Snyder is, in fact, a member of the Roseland Town Council.

On September 14, 2007, David Snyder was ejected from a Roseland Town Council after an argument with Charlie Shields, a fellow council member. Snyder was escorted from the meeting by Officer Jack Tiller. While leaving the building, Snyder said something to Tiller, who responded by pushing him to the ground and beating him unconscious. The incident was captured on video by attendees, and made available on the Internet last week.

David Snyder was ordered back to jail on Tuesday, for failure to pay child support.

Jack Tiller, the officer responsible for the attack, is still on active duty at Roseland’s police department.
