Warning: An Anti-America Coalition

Iran Venezuela A new Soviet Union appears to be in the works. It appears Iran and it’s junior partner Syria-Lebanon [Lebanon still is at the mercy of Damascus] are attempting to impress various Latin American republics most notably Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador. Coupled with natural Anti-American regimes like Cuba, Belarus, Libya [Libya is still a very unfree country] and North Korea.

A grand cross-continental Anti-America Coalition is forming. The Cubans and Libyans have been active for decades with various Pan-Africanist schemes. Meanwhile the North Koreans have been selling weaponry to Syria. With the addition of large stretches of Latin America, this new Anti-American bloc may be able to sustain itself through a circle of trade.

The problem with this union of foes is that once the oil money runs out, they’ll be out of luck. None of these nations have a substantial industrial base with the exception of maybe Belarus and to a smaller degree North Korea. Both however, are extremely antiquated and inefficient.

The bittersweet irony is that although, a departure from the old Washingtonian-Jeffersonian foreign policy, the Monroe Doctrine was an attempt to declare the Western Hemisphere a Europe free zone. Little did President Monroe know that one day Persia would be rearing it’s head in the Americas.

Again, the best solution for the United States is to lead by example and not by force. America can beat all of these nations combined with trade and the peaceful dissemination of “American values.” Military intervention or creating a so called “League of Democracieswhich has been proposed by some, including Presidential candidate John McCain is NOT the answer.

All this will do is create a new supranational bureaucracy, will duplicate the role of many existing institutions, cost a tremendous amount of money, diminish America’s sovereignty and usher in a new “cold war.” Just another reason to visit www.ronpaul2008.com.
