The Twist
Everyone knows this one: “The Twist” by Chubby Checker (1960), later made acceptable to suburban white kids vis-a-vis the Beatles. Thus continued the noble tradition of white kids getting rich by stealing black music, and repackaging it for mainstream audiences.
