Ron Paul Takes Second Place in Nevada

With 98% reporting, Ron Paul has secured a second place position in the great state of Nevada. Paul finishes with 13% of the vote, placing him ahead of “more legitimate” candidates such as John McCain, Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, and Rudy Guiliani. This also marks the first time Dr. Paul has won any delegates, taking four of the thirty-one delegates awarded in Nevada.

It’s worth noting that Rudy Guiliani, long-time GOP favorite and avid Ron Paul denouncer, secured only 4% of the vote in Nevada. Will Dr. Paul defeat Rudy again in South Carolina? We’ll have to wait and see.

You’re certainly within your right to support Ron Paul as he continues his quest for the Republican presidential nomination. But after reveling in my blog that the candidate LIED when he denied being the author of those racist screeds in his newsletter.

He admitted in a 1996 interview with The Dallas Morning News that he was indeed the author — and editor — of those articles and even complained that his writings were being “take out of context” by his political opponents.

His admission was confirmed by a spokesman for Paul’s 1996 congressional campaign in a follow-up interview with the Houston Chronicle.

As far as I’m concerned, Ron Paul is unfit for the highest office in the land and deserves to be resoundingly rejected by the vast majority of the American people. His attitudes toward African Americans are moot at this point; he’s a liar and a hypocrite.
