Flowers for Helen Thomas
The folks over at reddit have a novel idea today; they intend to send a bunch of flowers to White House correspondent, Helen Thomas. If you’d like to pitch-in, please do. As of 6:30 pm EST, the “flowers fund” is nearly $2,500.
Why such accolades for Thomas? Observe:
It is absolutely paramount that we, the American people, make it perfectly clear to the powers that be, that we do not condone torture. Helen Thomas is one of the few in the media willing to press the issue, and reject the copious bullshit being offered by the mentally challenged Dana Perino.
You may ask yourself: what the hell is the point of this? Who is this woman?
Imagine this: thousands of dollars worth of flowers are handed to Thomas, in the full view of the American media. I think it sends a strong message- we are watching you, and we will reward good behavior. This is 21st Century Pavlovian conditioning at its finest.
I figure: what the hell? It’s worth a shot.
