Follow-Up: Flowers for Helen Thomas
A few days ago, I mentioned that a random mob had decided to buy some flowers for Helen Thomas, as a way of saying “thank you” for her excellent Journalism.
I am happy to announce that the flowers were received early last week. From The Independent (UK):
Thankful for her doggedness, the ever righteous users of the web aggregator site Reddit decided to send her over $3,000 worth of flowers (pictured is Helen with her flowers). Which was nice of them.
In other news, today an anonymous blogger offered Bill O’Reilly $50 in cold-hard-cash if he would please, pretty please with a cherry on top, retire immediately.
Hungry for more?
We need Bill O’Reilly. While you and I may not agree with much of what he has to say, we really do need an aggressive figure like Bill on TV because he represents a good portion of the American population.
If nobody like Bill was on TV, we wouldn’t be able to write counter-arguments in our blogs and allow the anonymous readers to decide for themselves whose arguments are superior.
I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t ask for a better target than Bill O’Reilly.
