A lot of people are talking about the “first black President”, but they are forgetting a far more relevant distinction:

Obama is the first Gen X-er to have a serious shot at the Presidency.

Doesn’t Generation X start in the mid 60s? Obama was born in 61, at the end of the baby boom.
