Audit the Fed provision passes the House

As part of the larger financial reform package, Representatives Alan Grayson and Ron Paul’s audit the Federal Reserve provision passed the House of Representatives today [...] It’s significant that this provision, opposed by the entire Wall Street establishment, has passed the House of Representatives. Now, on to the Senate.

    Bernanke named Time Magazine’s ‘Person of the Year

    Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has been named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2009.

    Last year’s winner was then-President-elect Barack Obama. The 2007 winner was Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

    Other previous winners have included Bono, President George W. Bush, and Amazon.com CEO and founder Jeff Bezos.
